Position Title: Packaging Clerk


The Shipping Clerk is responsible for assisting with all packaging of completed orders, Inventory of parts, and supplies. Must have good attendance, positive/helpful attitude, and the proven ability to support shipping and inventory activities.


  • Accurately fill orders; prepare and safely package according to traveler
  • Use computer system to verify/pull inventory, ship orders
  • Timely submittal of all shipping documents required to accounting
  • Assist with periodic inventory counts
  • Assist with maintaining accurate inventory in the E2 system
  • Must comply with all work rules, policies and procedures including safety rules and regulations
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Must be able to manage multiple activities, meet deadlines and determine priorities
  • Must be able to perform proper packaging and loading of trucks
  • Experience with an integrated ERP system preferred
  • Ability to learn new software systems
  • Fork truck experience is a plus
  • Ability to track and report time spent on projects using timekeeping system
  • Must be able to stand for entire shift
  • Must be able to lift 50+ LBS
  • Must be able to work in a hot/cold environment, not outdoors
  • Minimum Qualifications
  • 3+ years of relevant experience in shipping and receiving preferred but not required
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and other computer applications such as email and MRP

Skilled CNC operators:

  • Study blueprints, manuals, SOP, specifications, or sample part to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work-piece, sequence of operations and setup requirements
  • Select, align, and secure cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on horizontal center lathes
  • Modify existing programs to produce new components to a customer requirement
  • Conduct daily maintenance checks before prior to commencing work
  • Start and observe machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining, and adjust machine controls or control media as required
  • Verify conformance of finished work-piece to specifications
  • Set up and operate machine on trial run to verify accuracy of machine settings or programmed control data
  • Can use and understand machine parameters and programs


  • CNC Lathe: 1 year
  • CNC Mill: 1 year
