The Chipmatic Company is located in Elmore Ohio, off the Ohio Turnpike, Interstate 80.  Chipmatic has been in business since 1984, starting as a small machine shop and growing into a full service facility and provider of contract turning and milling services, along with specialty machining capabilities.

We are a small to medium volume plant, with capabilities in the range of .500” to 12” OD for production turning.  We are your source for producing intricately designed parts with tolerances of +/-.0002” using specialized equipment.

Our 50,000 square foot building houses, CNC turning machines, CNC milling machines, wire EDM, grinding, Solid Works, Master CAM, Wagner saws, Fuji’s for high volume production, and state-of-the art quality inspection equipment.

With 60 employees, each member of The Chipmatic Company takes pride and is dedicated to ensure prompt service for all of our customer’s needs.    Our Customer Service team is here to ensure a quick response and to answer all requests for quotes, provide advice on technical solutions, and to keep your orders on track for timely deliveries.

AREAS OF EXPERTISE:

Industrial – Green turning cups, cones, and rollers for the bearing industry.

General Machining – Mill, Turn, Wire EDM, Grinding, and post operation coating/treatments on all types of steels, cast iron, and aluminum

Aerospace – Simple to semi-complex Aerospace bearing and electronic components from 4340, 52100, 17-4 PH, Brass, M50, Torlon.

Automotive – Specialty production turning for ball joint housing industry.

QUALITY


SECOND TO NONE:

Chipmatic implements a complete Quality System, from initial product quoting to final inspection and shipping.  Shoptech E2 shop system software is utilized throughout each process to assure complete customer requirements are met.  Process capabilities on production runs are analyzed using Measurlink MiCat software so that proper process controls can be identified.  Final inspections are conducted on all product prior to release to the customer using the following measuring tools:

  • 2 ea Numerex Coordinate Measuring Machine (QC 5000 software)
  • 2 ea Dorsey 16H Optical Comparator (QC 2000 software)
  • Zeiss Handysurf Profilometer
  • Rockwell Hardness Tester
  • 2 ea Mitutoyo 24” Digital Height Gauges
  • Digital Indicators, Micrometers, Calipers and other measuring tools
  • Gagetrak Calibration management software
